Q: Anti-depressants make me depressed?

I have tried Effexor and Lexapro (and many others) to help with anxiety and irritableness - I don't actually feel depressed except when I'm on the medicines.  They make me want to stay in bed, I don't care about anything, gained weight, etc.  What can I take for extreme irritableness that won't make me depressed?
