Cherokee - You are asking a very important question! Unfortunately, answering it is difficult. First, every individual metabolizes medication differently and so what works well for one person may not work as well for another. Second, how you define "best" is crucial. Does "best" mean greatest relief of symptoms, fewest side effects, absence of potential for addiction, or all of the above? You need to consider all of these issues in order to make the best choice for you.  If you have not been seen by a psychiatrist, I think you should consult one given that you have already been diagnosed with MVP.
