Q: tell me how to get off of cybalta, my doctor dont help.

Morning Music Man

As you know Cymbalta is a anti depressant and one doesnt stop a anti depressant just like that, so I guess your question is how to lower the dose to the point where you would be off it.

What concerns me is that if your Doctor doesnt want to take you off it her or she as a reason to come to that conclusion, I'm not saying he or she is right but you might want to discuss it at your next appointment to find out what are the reason's.

 

Also you havent said why you want to stop the medication.

thank you for your help, it makes me feel tired all the time, i have no energy i have been getting dizzy, plus i would like to feel normal again.

so you taper it..if you are on 60 mg, you go to 40 mg for a few weeks, then down to 20, for a cuple weeks, then to 10 and etc until you can tolerate none. Never stop it abruptly. 

If you don't like drugs you could try SAME. it is a natural antidepressant and can be bought at most drug stores.
