I am looking for an anti-anxiety med without the sexual side effects. I take Ativan every night.

Many of the medications for anxiety may cause sexual side effects. However, each person reacts differently to medication, therefore, one person may not experience side effects with certain medications, while other people will. Sometimes, side effects last only for a few weeks while you are adjusting to the medication and then will disappear.

If you are experiencing side effects that are interfering with your daily activities, you should speak with your doctor. He or she may recommend a different medication, adjusting your dosage or changing the schedule when you take the medication.
