The effects of discontinuing treatment are influenced by the dose taken and the length of time you have been on it, among other factors. Research data suggests that in 2% or more of the patients studied, abrupt discontinuation of treatment resulted in symptoms like dizziness; nausea; headache; paresthesia; vomiting; irritability; and nightmare. Although it seems unlikely that missing only one dose would cause problems, it is not impossible.
