Hi Terri - Although I am not a physician many of my clients take medications from the SSRI family, of which Celexa is one. Celexa is not necessarily known for problems with discontinuation syndrome but we all react to medications in very individual ways so we probably should never say "never". If you plan to go off the medication please contact your physician and get guidelines for doing so. Dr. Rick Wirtz
