Q: side effects of anxiety meds

Are there any anxiety meds without sexual side effects?

Many of the medications for anxiety/depression cause sexual side effects. There are some ways you can try to minmize this:

 

Taking the medication at a different time of day

Lowering the dosage

Using other medications to lessen the effect

 

Please keep in mind you should discuss any of these changes with your doctor. Even changing the time of day should be discussed as this can change the effectiveness of the medication. In addition, if you should add a medication (even herbal supplements) your doctor should be made aware to monitor possible drug interactions.
