Q: Is ativan stronger than xanax?

Ativan and Xanax are two different medications. It is impossible to compare the strength of medications that contain different ingredients.

My personal experience tells me that Xanax is actually quite a bit stronger than Ativan per MG. For me Xanax was more addictive and has more severe withdrawl symptoms ( can last 60 days if you dose 4+ MG of Xanax per day - sleeplessness, etc...beware.)
