what do you do when the klonopin stops working? i have been on it for over 13 yrs.

i do not want to continue to increase the dose... the addiction to this med., is very strong., does anyone have any ideas of what i can do now., i appreciate your help. donna lyn

Hi Donnalyn,

 

I know you are concerned over the addictiveness of the Klonopin, but you've been taking it for 13 years and in the beginning it helped. So while it seems like an addictive issue, in reality, the klonopin allows you to function somewhat. Unless you are at the brink of the highest dosage recommended, I believe I would consult with my doctor, get all the options and continue with what works. Just my opinion.
