Thank you for your question and welcome to AnxietyConnection.com.
I am not a medical professional and would not be able to give you medical advice. It is important for you to discuss any concerns with medication with the physican that has prescribed the medication.
That said, each preson reacts to medication differently and it is impossible to say which side effects, if any, one person will experience. Many people are able to take this medication without experiencing any side effects. Most people that do have side effects will only experience them for a few weeks.
The most common side effects are:
Stomach problems, such as nausea, vomiting, constipation or diarrhea
Dizziness, drowsiness or feeling tired
Difficulty concentrating
Nightmares
Headaches, blurred vision
Swelling of breasts (in either women or men)
Decreased sexual desire or inability to perform sexually
In addition, people that have recently had a heart attack or have ongoing heart disease should not take this medication.
You should also speak with the pharmacist about any possible interactions with any other medications that are currently being taken.
