I have been tkaing lorazapam for a year. I take .05mg. 3x a day. It will help you sleep but it can be addictive and is hard to go off of. I have also tried xanax and had luck with this one also. See your physician and tell them your symptoms. good luck!!

Amatribal,

Thanks for your question.

It's important to speak with your doctor about your symptoms in order to determine which medication would be best for you.

The most common side effects of both Xanax (alprazolam) and Ativan (lorazepam) include sedation and dizziness. Both of these medications can be addictive, so it's important to take the medication the way it's prescribed to you. You can find more information about Xanax here and about Ativan here.

Best of luck,

Casey
