Q: I just started taking Lexapro yesterday and last night experienced a severe anxiety attack

I had a bout of panic attacks a few years back when taking Lunesta and Wellbutrin.  I haven't had a problem since.  I do take Klonapin for RLS and Quinapril for my BP....

Lexapro should not cause an anxiety attack, especially if you just began the medication. However, medication reacts differently in different people. You should contact your doctor and let him or her know what you have experienced. Your doctor would be better able to determine if this might be a reaction to the medication, or a possible interaction between medications.
