I am a forty year old single mom who has been diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I have had daily tension headaches and 2-3 migraines per week for years...anyone else experience this and what do you take for it? Triptans only work sometimes...I am also on Effexor.

Thank you for your question and welcome to AnxietyConnection.com.

Many people with anxiety suffer from headaches on a regular basis. I am sorry you have such a difficult time with them. I know personally how headaches can interfere with your life and have had migraines for most of my life. Sometimes medication works and sometimes it doesn't.

You may want to check out the HealthCentral site for migraine headaches, there is a lot of great information there.
