Q: what are the effects of taking buspirone and drinking 6or7 glasses of wine?

Altough buspirone is not a benzodiazépine it is counter indicated to take alcool while being treated with buspirone.
Medicamentous interactions Alcohol: With the course studies in laboratory carried out at volunteers in good health, the buspirone, managed with amounts reaching jusqu' to 20 Mg, the effects of relatively small quantities did not accentuate; alcohol on the psychomotor functions. However, one noted a diminution of satisfaction or a dysphorie at the time of association alcohol and d' a single amount of 20 Mg of buspirone. In absence of relevant data relative to concomitant use of higher amounts of buspirone and d' alcohol, it would be important to indicate to the patients not to drink alcohol during the treatment by the buspirone.
