Are Amitriptyline and Amitriptyline Hcl basically the same pill?

KPEN - That would appear to be the case. Amitriptyline HCl is the chemical formulation and it is often simply referred to as Amitriptyline. If you want to be absolutely certain, ask your pharmacist.
