Hello and Welcome to the site
Giving medication to our children is always a tough choice to make, I should know I had to make that decision for my child, I came to the decision to go ahead with it but had to ask myself who I was treating here him or me, for I also know that living with a young adult who as behavior issues can be very overwhelming.
So I acted with the best interest of my child (young adult) in my mind as one should do, I can tell you that the medication made quite a difference in the behavior, medication alone in my eyes is not enough tough its not a magical solution you should be aware of this but along with cognitive therapy would be a route to consider.
Hopefully this was of some help
