need advice on adderall
need advice please if your on adderall or ever had it prescribed how many does the doctor write for ? sayfor 30 mg . the reason iam asking is my buddy who both he and i are 40yrs old and have adhd , he said his doctor wrote him #120 for the month he takes it 4 times a day.
so please if you can if you were ever prescribed this medication how many were written for you? thank you for your time ..

The medication is not dosed based on your age. The dose that one takes is based on their symptoms and severity of symptoms, and weight may be a factor. Just because you and your friend are the same age doesn't mean you should be taking medication the same way he does. If you and your friend both had high blood pressure, you wouldn't be expecting to take the same medication and dose as he does. You should be able to trust your doctor to give you the proper dose and treatment.

You might want to check out our website ADHD Central to communicate with others who have attention problems. You may get advice from others who have the same struggles you have. You might also consider looking into Neurofeedback, an alternative treatment to medication for attention deficit disorders. Contrary to popular belief, it's been around for nearly 100 years and has lots of research to support its usefulness. I have never seen it fail in an attention deficit person who completes the treatment.
