Q: alcohol OK?

Can someone taking cymbalta safely also drink alcohol?

Hello McMormick:

The short answer is, no. Alcohol is a depressant, and will negate an antidepressant's action. You should speak with your psychiatrist about this, since I am sure the insert that you got with your prescription said the the same thing.
