Q: how do I get my doctor to put me on xanax XR I'm on librium and it does not last long enough!!!!!!! And It hurts when it wares off!!!!+

Have you discussed your concerns with your doctor? Have you explained why you don't like the librium?
Some doctors are concerned when patients ask specifically for a medication as they feel it may be abused. However, you also have the right to have your doctor listen to your concerns and adequately address them. If you feel your doctor is not doing that, you should address this with him. If that doesn't work, it may be time for you to look for a new doctor.
