When I see a patient on multiple drugs for physical and mental issues I often recommend that they seek the help of a Doctor of Pharmacology since mixing all these drugs together is a "true balancing act" for both avoiding bad side effects and getting optimal results.

A local University Hospital or medical center can offer a recommendation and if i were your physician I would actually welcome the input.

Your research efforts have been a good thing because they have lead you to the finding that Wellbutrin is not a first line medication for anxiety or panicky episodes. Raising the dose is not likely to help. Although you have not specified, I'm guessing that the doctor you are referring to is not a psychiatrist. Psychiatrists are usually better equipped to prescribe multiple psychiatric medications at the same time. They are typically easier to find than a psychopharmacologist, particularly if you live in a more rural area. A consultation with one or the other could definitely be a help.
