While I can't answer your question about anxiety affecting the inner ear, I can share my own experience with the feeling of fluid in the ear. Once I started on the prescription nasal spray Flonase, regularly, the feeling disappeared. Check with your doctor about getting a prescription. Best to you.

Did you get dizzy spells due to the fluid? I have been tested for virdigo and meniers but both came up negative. They even put a tube in and that caused a lot of drainage. It helped for a while. Im worried cause I feel like i am starting to have hearing loss. I have tried decongestants but not nasal spray. I will try it. Did you have pain in your ear? Thanks for you response.
