Hi Nancy,   You mentioned the medications you are taking for the tachycardia, but you didn't mention if you were taking any medication for the anxiety/panic attacks? There are medications that are prescribed for Anxiety that react badly with some foods and other medicines and they cause hypertension. You can read about that here.   Have you mentioned this to your doctor? That the hypertension comes on at the onset of a panic attack? Has he given you any reason? Online sites are great for getting the information you need to ask all the right questions, but they should never take the place of your doctor's solid medical advice. Take care and stay in touch.
