My cousin was taking Lexapro for anxiety and the side effect HELPED her fibromyalgia which I have too except I haven't taken Lexapro yet. She takes Xanax and lexapro and is fine. I take 10mg of Valium a day and I want to take 10mg of Lexapro..is it safe to do that?

This would be a question you would need to discuss with your doctor. Everyone reacts differently to medication so what works for one person may not work for another. It is impossible to say whether a medication would be right for you.
You and your doctor can discuss the different medication options and work out what would be best for you.
