Whenever I got stress at work, etc. My muscles seems to pull together and then one side or both sides of my body pain.

At the moment I have to use painkillers and muscle tension relievers to go through my day.

I also got a terrible headace only at the one side of my head.

what can I do to release the tension so that I at least can go day by day withhout so many medication?

Thank you for your question and welcome to Health Central's Anxiety Community.

I am not a medical professional and would not be able to give you medical advice. I would suggest that you talk with your doctor about what you are experiencing. Anxiety is often treated with anti-depressant medication however, your doctor may suggest a different medication or dosage if what you are taking is not working.

There are many different strategies for helping to reduce stress or lower anxiety. Your doctor will be able to help you determine what would be best for you. You might also want to ask about working with a therapist on stress-reducing strategies.
