Q: I can't go into a classroom without a panic attack what should I do?

A few months ago I passed out in my women's history class. I can no longer go into the classroom without having a panic attack because as soon as I go in the room I have flashbacks and end up in the nurse or library. I graduate high school in less than month and want to be able to sit in the class at least once. Is there any tips that'll help me calm down? I really want to be able to face this fear of such a silly thing, since i know i won't faint again.

I am sorry you are having such a difficult time right now. I would suggest talking with your parents, your guidance counselor or your doctor about how you are feeling.

Anxiety is a medical condition which can be debilitating without proper treatment.

Please talk with your parents about going to a doctor to discuss your current situation.
