Q: Update on today (for those who want to know and been replying to my previous post)

So today was the day of my orientation I had been dreading for weeks. As I anticipated, I had a panic attack and I didn't go and I lost the job. Now, my mother is mad at me and I'm sure the news will be passed along to other family members and it always comes back as me being a failure or not wanting to work, which is NOT the case at all. I just wish they would understand. SAD is ruining my life and I'm almost ready to give up for good!

I am so sorry things did not work out for you. I am also sorry that you don't seem to have family support to help you. This is always so important.

You are not a failure, you just need to find a way to be able to manage your anxiety symptoms and so far, you have not found it. I know you feel as if you are ready to give up, but please don't. The answer you need may be right around the corner. Work with a therapist, check into cognitive behavioral therapy and talk with your doctor about what other treatments may be helpful.

Please keep checking back with us and letting us know how you are doing. I do care and want you to do well.

Eileen
