hi there, i was first diagnosed with GAD generalisesd anxiety disoreder late last year but i had been having panic attacks throughout the year. my gp put me on an anxiety anti deoresant called arapax and epilem a mood stabaliser.... with in a month i was starting tooo feel good again But i went off my meds 6 months later thinking that i could cope and i did for a few months the gp also had me on diaz which worked wonders untill i got addicted to the shit!!!!!! then i realised if i abused forte it done the same thing two years on now medicare hav caught me for dr shopin!!!! my doctor has now got me on a very very addictve drug called xanax but its slow release....it seems to work but i keep it for more of a sleeping pill of a night. he also has me on a new anti anxiety/called cetalapram and also 200 mgs of serequel of a night it sounds bad coz its an anti phsycotic but wot it does is slow the thought process in your mind to stop all the racing thoughts going sround. if u sint a pill abuser xanax or serapax are the drugs to go but they r very very hard to obtain from a gp they r schedual a drugs  its not just pills that r the solution u really have to talk things thru with people that u trust. believer me the panic attacks are sooooo scary and ive lost a good 3 years of my life because of em.... good luck i hope my infor was helpful take care xxxx
