Hi Wendy: If you will check one of my other answers, you will see that Prevacid is for acid reflux and not anxiety. It will help control the acid that gets churned up with anxiety, but not prevent the anxiety itself. Talk with your physician for his/her ideas for medicine to control the mood. He may recommend an anti-anxiety medication or an antidepressant. If he does not want to prescribe one of these, consider seeing a psychiatrist for this, then find a therapist who can help you sort out what else might be going one with you. Hope this helps.
