Hi Ann, The answer is yes. For example some people involved with performance (artists, teachers, presenters) may take propranolol about 30 mins before the event. Propranolol is a beta blocker used for reducing blood pressure but it is also prescribed for anxiety. Not everyone finds it useful but many people do. There may well be other medications you could take on a 'as needed' basis. It may be that you'd find relaxation techniques as good if not better. If you find that certain days are worse than others you might want to look at your lifestyle. What's your diet like? How well are you sleeping the night before a bad day? How much alcohol are you taking? How much exercise do you take? Some adjustment of these things on a daily basis can have a cumulative effect on your health so you may see the frequency and duration of bad days start to diminish.
