I take xanax 0.25 mg and it works wonders for me.  I take it as needed and usally only take a max of 2 per week.  I even break them in half so I get 4 doses out of two pills.  It takes the edge off and helps me calm down.  However... make sure you do not drink while taking it or even the 0.25 mg will feel like you took 100 mg.  I made the mistake of thinking it was out of my system & had a shot... big no-no.

KB,

Thank you for your question.

It's important to talk to your doctor to determine which medication would be best for you. Every medication has unique characteristics, and it would be impossible for me to label one medication as the "best." The best medication for you would be determined based on your symptoms, other medications you may be taking, and other factors.

Best of luck,

Casey
