Q: i am suffering from rapid heartbeat which last for hours if not controlled and make me nervous. i tried to stop it by tightening the chest muscles and it works. is it disease?

i get this rapid heartbeat problem frequently, but have not visited doctors. i have my own techniques to control it.but i am worried if it is a serious heart problem. please advise me.

I would strongly suggest you speak with a doctor about the symptoms you are experiencing. Although anxiety can cause heart palpitations that are not necessarily dangerous, this could be something else. Your doctor should check to make sure there is no physical causes for your symptoms. If there is no physical cause, you can talk with your doctor about what other actions you can take to help improve the symptoms.
