Is it some kind of secondary cholinergic action of the drug?
Hi Ellie:
I'm sorry I didn't see your question sooner! Desyrel, or Trazodone, is an antidepressant with the typical side effect profile of most antidepressants. One of them listed is gastrointestinal problems such as nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, diarrhea or constipation.
You may need to speak with your doctor to see if you are taking too high a dose, or need to switch to something else.
Best of luck,
Dr. Diana Walcutt
