Murray - Hopefully this question is not being asked because you are illegally or abusively using this medication. Abuse of valium and other medications from this class is dangerous. How the body excretes it is a function of the efficiency of the liver, weight and age. How long it will take to totally clear the system is a function of these factors. What will be detected is also a function of which metabolites the test measures.
