Thank you for your question and welcome to AnxietyConnection.com.
I think the way you approached your boss is great. I hope the response was good and you are able to move forward.
It sounds as if you have made some big changes in your life and certainly that could cause some anxious feelings, but keeping perspective on why you have made the changes and that this move is right for you can help. You may want to seek out a support group if you find the anxiety to be overwhelming. You can find a list on Anxiety Disorders Association of America site.
Sharing online, such as with this site, can really be helpful too. It is good to know there is someone out there that understands what you are going through and isn't judging how you may be feeling.
Please keep us posted on what is going on and how you are feeling.
I am going through the same situation right now. I think approaching your boss and figuring out his expectations was a great idea, and helps give you more control of the situation as well as relieve some of the unnecessary pressure you may have put on yourself. Fear of the unknown is a big issue for me, and creating structure really tends to help that out. Right now I am having trouble even getting to work because I beat myself up so much about my work performance....Let me know how things go for you, and I wish you the best.
