Hi Roxanne, I remember when I was withdrawing from valium. I felt a little bit of paranoria, and a little bit dizzy at times. I got emotional easily and felt tired a lot. I had to come off of it slowly. I vowed never to take it again unless it is in a crisis when nothing else helps, and then for only as short length of time as possible. I was very dependant on valium and didn't even realize it until I tried to stop taking it.
hi roxanne, i don't know if this is going to help you or not, but i have been taking xanax for 22 years, and when i tried to go off it 2X, i had siezures , i each time i tried to go off, didn't know it at the time, because i have no history of siezuers ,but we narrowed it down to what i was doing both times i had a siezure and we figured it was the xanax. i was in icu for 2weeks, didn't even know my husbands name. it was very scary, especailly the last time because i hit a dresser as i was going down and really bashed my face up pretty good, broke my nose and had to go thru a number of tests, the most scariest thing was tho, that i din't even know my husband. where, i am taling about xanax, valium and xanax are in the same family of meds, i would ask someone who knows more on the subject than i do, but DO NOT try and go off by yourself, please, let the docs wean you off, hope this helped just a little bit, hoping you are doing alright, cindi
