i suffer from depression an anxiety i take 120 of cym balta. i have for 10 weeks an no change from the 60mg i took for longer.my doc said he would try 120mg to see if it would hit the core of my anxiety. i feel im not getting much from cymbalta at all. i also take 4 mg of ativan a day from an adiction i had of 10 aday . i have been stable on 4 mg for 6 months. i would love the cym to work for me can you suggest a dose level or do you think cymbalta is not for me.  BRIAN

manic666- I am not a psychiatrist but am very familiar with antidepressant medications. Both the dose of Cymbalta and the length of time that you have been taking it are sufficient to say that you have given it a fair trial. If you are taking 4 mg of Ativan in addition to the Cymbalta and still feeling anxiety it is fairly clear that a change is appropriate. If you have not taken other antidepressants or medications for anxiety then those should be considered. If you are not seeing a psychiatrist you should consider doing so as soon as possible.
