Michael - Seroquel can be helpful to quiet agitation, severe anxiety, and improve sleep. It can also be very sedating and decrease motivation. Hopefully the doctor prescribing the medications is an expert in treating individuals with head trauma and has taken this into account in the dosing of the medications. If she is very unmotivated a decrease in the dose of Seroquel may be necessary. Ritalin can also have a detrimental effect on sleep so the dose and the timing of the dose is important. Intake of caffeine and nicotine should also be taken into consideration.   Rick Wirtz   Rick Wirtz is a Psychologist, not a Psychiatrist.
