I'm no doctor, but I take an antidepressant and Ativan. I take Ativan for sleep. Ativan and Xanax are not antidepressants. They are anti-anxiety drugs. If Lexapro doesn't suit you as an antidepressant, I would talk to a psychiatrist about the best antidepressant for you.
