Hi and Welcome to the site Your question as two parts to it so I will try to give you the information you need 1) your Effexor ths medication is a anti depressant as you shurely know but to feel the full benefits of it it usualy takes 3 to 4 weeks 2) The klonipin its not that it doesnt work anymore this medication as a what we call a half life so it builds up in your system so it could be possible that you have build a tolerance to it thus the ''need'' for a higher dosage, but you should know that this medication is highly addictive what I'm saying is that even if your dosage would be higher there is a good chance that down the road you would feel the ''need'' to have it prescribe to a higher dosage again...any good doctor would advise you of this or ask your pharmacist.
