will kolonipin and wellbutrin work well together for depression

Hi Sunshine: I am not a physician, but my first question would be, did your psychiatrist prescribe these meds for you? Is this is the first time you've ever taken any meds for your anxiety and depression?

Doctors often prescribe combinations of medications, especially if a person has been taking meds for awhile and no single med has worked for them. This combination is not rare, in fact, I have a number of patients on several antidepressants and use something like Klonopin at bedtime for sleep. Wellbutrin is an antidepressant that can be very effective in some people for depression, and it tends to have fewer side effects than the SSRI's such as Prozac, Lexapro, etc. Klonopin is a benzodiazepine, and should be used cautiously. This class of anti-anxiety medication is very powerful, but it can be addictive.
