Thank you for your question. I am not a medical professional and would not be able to give you medical advice. However, lack of energy could be caused by numerous things. If you have not yet spoken with your doctor, you should call and make an appointment. There are a number of physical illnesses that can cause this and it is good to talk with a doctor and rule out any physical illness. In addition, some medications can cause you to feel tired and you can talk with your doctor about that as well.

Living with anxiety itself can be tiring. It is difficult to live with the stress and anxiety you may feel all day. Sometimes having the right treatment can help to lift the lack of energy. Again, your doctor would be able to help you find an effective treatment.

Lack of energy can also be a sign of depression. Although I hate to sound like a broken record, this is also something you should talk to your doctor about.

Lastly, I know that you lack energy and the last thing you probably want to do is exercise, but adding even 10 to 20 minutes of exercise into your daily routine can help to lift your mood and give you energy.

I hope this helps

I agree with the last poster.  Your doctor should check you out for any physical problems - diabetes, anemia, etc.  I, too, had low energy and general lack of caring about anything, also, muscle aches almost like complete fatigue.  After a physical, my doctor ruled out other illnesses and put me on lexapro.  It took away the anxiety, but my emotions were still flat.  After a few months, I weaned off it.  Last September, I started on cymbalta.  Within two weeks my energy was back and no more fatigued muscle aches.  See your doctor.  You can get better.
