Q: I have just started a dosage of 10mg of lexapro daily, is this a low or regular dosage?

Wanted to know if the 10mg of lexapro is low dosage or regular?

Hi Tracy,

10 mg is the average starting dose of Lexapro for Major Depression and Generalized Anxiety Disorder.  Your doctor may or may not increase the dose after you've been taking it for awhile. It is important that you follow up with your doctor.  If you have unpleasant side effects, talk to your doctor, it is possible to decrease the dose if necessary. Don't be hesitant to ask your doctor specific questions about the medication and how you are reacting to it.
