Gear Dr. Rick Wirtz,   I have been on Klonopin since 1995 for seizures due to a head injury. I was on 2 mg qid(4X aday) I am now on 2 pills a day. One in the morning and one after dinner, I have limited amount left and I have no insurance to see a doctor and the doc that prescribe it will not give me any advice. I want off this medication. I haven't had a seizure in over three years as I used to get them several a week or a day!  My body is used to this medication but I am more than possitive I will never have a seizure again.   How should I be tappering without being in the hospital? Or without another benzo. Id rather be off it all together. I have some hot flashes and sweats on some days.   Can this be done weekly by decreasing by half a tab, then to one tab a day then half, then a quater, then none? and if so how long should this take without withdrawals?   Since I dont have anxiety, I am not worried about that. I just am tired of being a slave to this medication. Can you please give me some advice?   Thank you so much! VG
