After an emotional event, I became very cold, shaking violently, diarrhea, should i b concerned?
Kate
Thank you for your question and welcome to AnxietyConnection.com.
If this is the only time you had a reaction to an emotional event, there probably isn't anything to worry about, however, if reactions such as these continue to happen, you might want to contact your doctor. If you are concerned about what happened, it would not hurt to make an appointment and discuss your concerns with your doctor. He or she would be able to help you determine if you would require medical care.

Thank you for your response, very helpful. I have had 3 other episodes since the first -which happened about 45 days ago. (all related to the same subject) It is unsettling to think I may not be handling stress as well as I once did. Is this common?

We all handle stress differently and at different points in our life, our reaction to stress may vary. There may be other situations in your life that are causing you to react more intensely to stress or there could be hormonal changes that impact how you are handling stress.
I would suggest contacting your doctor if these episodes continue or if they begin to interfere with your daily activities.
