Q: I take a generic prescription for Xanax. Does it put on weight?

I take a generic form of Xanax and have put on 20 lbs.  I exercise and watch my diet.  Does this medicine put on weight?

I also take it,but haven't had any added pounds. I wonder how much you take and if it makes you tired and what your dosage is? I think the pill is fine and helps, but I am careful not to use a very big mg.

I also take it and have no problems with extra weight. I take a small dose as needed. I really have not heard of a problem with weight gain with this drug. I do think it is a helpful drug when used in small doses as not to become addicted.
