Q: is hypochondria part of the "Anxiety" family??

I have had depression nearly 15+ years now and have had panic attacks, the likes (yes I'm on medications)....what I want to know is if hypochondria goes along with this? I have had major symptoms (heart, kidneys, etc.) and go to the doctor and have tests run and they always come back normal (which is a good thing), but when I leave the doctor's office I feel like such an idiot because I feel my body is telling me something. Am i imaging these things??? I think the doctor's laugh at me because I'm always there. Like i said, I feel like such a fool. Can anyone help?

My significant other suffers similar to you.  Because we cannot get a handle on helping to overcome his symptoms, he often feels that he has many other diseases.

All of his tests come back normal.  We are continueing to see additional doctors in our

quest to find the "right" answers.  Good luck.  Remember others also feel these  symptoms.  You are not alone.
