You don't mention whether this person is a spouse, sibling, parent or other relationsip and depending on the family connection - you will have different feelings. But regardless, having worked as a Physician Assistant years ago in the Dependency Unit of a Veterans Hospital - our weekly meetings with family members would certainly support the reality that living with someone addicted to drugs can be fraught with tension and anxiety. Are you able to get your own help through a support group or by working with a therapist so that your needs are being acknowledged and met?? Caretakers and even just bystanders living with addicts are certainly suceptible to significant challenges emotionally and physically - so if possible do get some support and help.
