Hi Pat,   Your best bet for weaning off of Ativan is to do it with the help of a physician, particularly a Psychiatrist. They can help you set a schedule, which will probably be slower than what you are trying to do yourself.   Also, if you are experiencing nausea each morning, are you sure it is being caused by withdrawing from Ativan and not something else?  It may be a good idea to get a physical.   To relieve nausea, try wearing "Sea bands" which go around your wrists and keep constant pressure on your pressure point there.  They are available at most drug stores.   Regards,   Jennifer L. Fee, Psy.D. The Stress Masters   *Jennifer Fee, Psy.D. is a Psychologist, not a Psychiatrist. Psychiatrists prescribe medications, Psychologists study them, but the majority of Psychologists are not authorized to prescribe meds. or give you specific advice about them. Any information given in a post about medication is for educational purposes only, and primarily to aid you in having an informed discussion with your own Psychiatrist/Physician.
