Hi Pat: I am not a physician, but couldn't agree more with Dr. Fee. You are going through withdrawal from a very powerful drug. Stopping Ativan is to be taken very seriously and should never be done on your own without the help of a doctor.  Ativan is a benzodiazepine and you can read more about Benzo's in my SharePost; Benzodiazepines, Are They Safe?  You can also read more detailed info about Ativan here.
