However, if you are not satisfied with what your doctor has said, you may want to request a second opinion. You can contact your insurance company to find out whether a second opinion is covered under your plan.   If you do not feel comfortable asking about a second opinion, you have the right to question your doctor about his or her decisions and ask why he or she suggested a certain treatment.   Eileen
